I know I posted JDM parks trucks before. I thought they only had one, but the last one was a Mazda, this is a Mitsubishi. Also, Nissan firetruck!!!! They were using the firetruck to wash some of the picnic shelters in the park. Smart!
Some Jalop is using the city budget to secretly build a JDM fleet. Can’t wait for the Autozam bylaw enforcement vehicles.

Many US government installations
run Japanese mini-trucks on their facilities. All persons are created equal, except some are more equal and
can drive new-ish
Japanese mini-trucks in the US.

Not as cute as I would have imagined, it being Japan. I was hoping for a recording of pikachu doing a fire engine impression.

Are they road legal or basically used like Gators or golf carts?

The state university I work for has a fleet of newer kei trucks. They get to br ing them in as a government agency, but they’re restricted to only driving on campus. They can be legally driven on roads, but only within the campus.

Where I work they’re used as replacements for gators. They aren’t road legal in my state. They do occasionally drive them on the road because the base I work on has two separate sections, but when they do they’re followed by vehicles with flashing strobes.

Ah, see these are fully legal. Shit, if I really wanted a funny divorce, I could go buy a JDM firetruck today!

In the US generally speaking, they’re legal to import/own/drive anywhere once they’re 25 years old and can be registered. It is only government agencies that get them before that magic mark.

In some states I believe you can register them like atv's regardless of age and drive them on roads up to 35 mph limit.

Some states allow them as atv's basically, registerable and driveable on roads under 35mph speed limit, from what I've read at least.

Interesting. They have small pump trucks, a ladder, and a utility for the crew.

Stop it! The more I see Kei trucks, the more I want one! :(

Basically golf cart/Gator alternatives where the weather makes a fully
enclosed vehicle a better option.
